ETA Electronic Authority Visa - subclass 601

- The actual ETA is free. However, there is an online application service fee of $20
- The ETA doesn't require travel insurance, but we recommend one as the Australian healthcare system is very expensive (some countries can get free healthcare in Australia - please check your eligibility in advance)
- Your passport must be vaild for at least 6 months
- During the application process an officer may ask about the purpose of visit, financal backup and emplyment status, but this rarely happens.
The ETA can only be applied from outside Australia.
The ETA allows you to stay in Australia up to 3 months counting from the day of arrival. The and is vaild for 12 months from the date of the visa grant.
The purpose of your visit can be tourism, family visitation or business and you are not permitted to work with this visa.
Your can extent the ETA while still in Australia for tourism, family visitation or business purposes by applying for a Visitor visa (subclass 600)
The ETA can be converted into Student visa (subclass 500), working visas or permanent residency (unless stated differently in the visa conditions).
E-Visitor Visa - subclass 651

Required documents for the ETA visa are:
- Your passport must be vaild for at least 6 months
- During the application process an officer may ask about the purpose of visit, financal backup and emplyment status, but this rarely happens.
- The visa allows for a stay of 3 months counting from the day of arrival, and is valid for 12 months from the date of visa grant, usually, let you enter multiple times.
Can be extended while still in Australia for tourism, family visitation or business purposes by applying for Visitor visa (subclass 600).
- The visa can be converted to Student visa (subclass 500), working visas or residency (unless stated differently in the conditions of the visa).
Visitor Visa - subclass 600
You have to lodge the visa online through the ImmiAccount which you can create HERE.
The cost of the Visitor visa:
- AU$150 if applying outside Australia
- AU$380 if applying in Australia
- Additional subsequent visa fee of $700 applies if this is your second visa extension during current stay.
Required documents for the Visitor visa (subclass 600) are:
- Your passport must be vaild for at least 6 months
- During the application process an officer may ask about the purpose of visit, financal backup and emplyment status.
- Allows to stay in Australia from 3 to 12 months counting from the day of arrival.
- Can be extended while still in Australia for tourism, family visitation or business purposes by applying for another Visitor visa (subclass 600).
- The visa can be converted to other visa, for example a Student visa (subclass 500), sponsorship/ working visas or residency (unless stated differently in the conditions of the visa).
